SmartPhones: Not so Smart After All
Almost everyone who loves gadgets or pretends to love them owns a smartphone. After many years in the market however they are proving not to be smart at all. It is not uncommon to hear things like, “if you were so smart you would know when to charge...>>>
yourself or something like my phone stays so long in the charger it should be called a landline instead of a smart phone”. Okay enough with the jokes. Did you know that a smart phone could seriously jeopardize your privacy without your knowledge?
Yes this is true there are applications or lets just call them “bugs” that can allow a person to literally stalk you without getting off from their seats. The sad news is that getting the bugs is a very cheap entity and for only Ksh20, 000 you can get to stalk the person of your choice as long as they have a smartphone that is internet enabled. This means that you will get to know exactly where they are thanks to Google maps n latitudes and longitudes. If you think that this is good sit back and relax, with the bugs it is also possible to listen in to all phone calls, read text messages, emails and any other form of communication. And the icing on the cake is the fact that you can even listen in to conversations they are having with other people when sited or standing somewhere.
This is quite disturbing considering the fact that the owner of the smartphone will not know that there is someone tapping into their phone. Although am sure that it is psychotic, disturbed and insecure people who will get excited by this it seems however that the only way a person can get rid of this is to get a cheap phone or remove the battery when speaking to a person and don’t want the conversation to be recorded by sick people.
