Guardian Bank Limited (“Guardian”) was founded by “Chandaria (MM)” family, one of the leading business houses of Kenya having business commitments in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, UK and India.  It is a   commercial bank incorporated in Kenya on 13^th January 1992 initially as a finance company - Euro Finance Limited and was converted into a commercial Bank during August 1996.

“Guardian” is managed by a team of professionals, having vast experience in the Banking industry.

We have six (6) branches, three in Nairobi and one each in Mombasa, Eldoret and Kisumu. There are plans to open more branches in the near future.

The core capital of the bank stood at Kshs. 873.102 mn. as at 31^st December 2009 while the asset base at KShs. 6.777b. and the net profit at KShs. 38.351mn. The net profit of the Bank for the half year ended 30^th June 2010 stood at Kshs. 42.527 mn, the core capital at KShs. 894.37mn. and the asset base at KShs. 7.767bn. The Bank is confident that it will attain the statutory core capital requirements of KShs. 1 billion by the end of the financial year 2012. 

The Bank has correspondent relationships with Citibank N.A (New York and London), Bank of India (Kenya), ICICI Bank (India), Kenya Commercial Bank (Kenya) and Standard Bank of South Africa (South Africa), which enable the Bank to offer full-fledged trade finance and foreign exchange services.
